Located on the southern edge of Hot Springs, Ark., Lake Hamilton is a fishing and tourist destination. This 7,460-acre lake was created in 1932 to generate electricity and now ranks as one of Arkansas’s most popular lakes. You will find largemouth bass, striped bass, and hybrid striped bass hiding out in feeder creeks in Lake Hamilton. The possible trophy-sized bass can be caught on plastics, topwater baits, and spinnerbaits.
Over 900 miles of shoreline and over 66,000 acres of land and water make Lake Ouachita Arkansas’s largest lake. Located in the Ouachita Mountains, Lake Ouachita is not only beautiful but is considered one of the cleanest lakes in the country. This lake is stocked full of trophy-sized bass and has even been called the “Striped Bass Capitol of the World”. With over 40,000 acres of prime fishing waters, the rugged underwater terrain and aquatic vegetation makes a great habitat for a variety of game fish that include: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, and of course, striped bass.
